<div style='text-align:Left;'><div><div><p><span>This data layer is an Esri file geodatabase polygon feature class that contains parcel boundaries maintained by county agencies in Indiana. It was released by the Indiana Geographic Information Office (IGIO) on November 13, 2024. The IGIO compiled the data as part of the Indiana Data Harvest program between the Indiana Geographic Information Council (IGIC) and Indiana local governments to provide the most accurate framework data for the citizens of Indiana. These layers include address points, street centerlines, land parcels, and governmental boundaries.</span></p></div></div></div>
This dataset was developed to provide accurate parcel boundaries for Indiana, as part of Indiana's annual GIS Data harvest Data Sharing Initiative (IDSI) of the Indiana Geographic Information Office (IGIO). Please note that this data does not yet have DLGF attributes included (such as DLGF_PROP_ADD, DLGF_PROP_CLASS_CODE, etc). This service will be updated once the DLGF data has been made available.
This data set was created as part of the Indiana Geographic Information Office's GIS Data Harvest Program. The source data used to create this dataset was provided by Indiana's local governments.

Indiana counties provided their parcel boundary information to the Indiana Geographic Information Office starting in July 2024. Each county's data was assessed for required attributed information, standardized, and augmented with data provided by ESRI and the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance.
Each county's data was assessed for required attribute information and the fields were mapped to the statewide data standard/schema. In certain cases, multiple fields were combined into a single field, or single fields were split into multiple fields. Some assumptions were made as to the content of the fields provided in the county data if the schema did not meet the statewide standard. 28 counties submitted data directly to the Indiana Geographic Information Office through Phase 1 of the State's Framework Data Improvement Project, and 64 counties provided their data to the Polis Center at IU Indianapolis for processing and aggregation.

The county data was loaded into the statewide schema using field mapping described in the previous step. Automated tools were created to automate this process as much as possible.
Fields were added to help provide the source information. These include SOURCE_FEATUREID (the Object ID or Feature ID of each feature in the source data), SOURCE_ORIGINATOR (the name of the county that provided the data) , and LOADDATE (the date of each county's data extract), and LOCAL_ID (the local identifier of each feature if provided and specified by the county).

Fields representing tax district information for each parcel were added and populated. For any parcel that has a State Parcel ID that is 18 characters long, and does not include any non-numeric characters, the data was joined based on the first 2 and last 3 digits of the State Parcel ID to a table of each unique tax district provided by the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance using FME software. Resulting fields from this process are: VALID_TAX_CODE (Yes or No, indicating whether the tax district code from the first 2 and last 3 digits of the State Parcel ID is valid and could be matched), CNT_TAX_DIST_CD (the 5-digit code extracted from the first 2 and last 3 digits of the State parcel ID which represents a unique tax district), TAX_COUNTY (the county name the tax district is within), TAX_TOWNSHIP (the township name the tax district is within), TAX_CITY (if applicable, the incorporated area name the tax district is within), TAX_SCHOOL (the school district the tax district is within), TAX_LIBRARY (the library district name the tax district is within), and TAX_SPECIAL (a list separated by commas of any special tax districts the parcel is within)
