These districts were generated by joining parcel boundaries from the 2022 Data Harvest Program to the Indiana DLGF's 2022 Certified Tax Rates by Taxing District excel spreadsheet downloaded at https://www.in.gov/dlgf/reports-and-data/reports/. Polygons representing parcels were dissolved using the County ID and State Assigned District (Tax Unit) fields. A new attribute that concatenated the county id and tax district ID in both the parcel feature class and then DLGF excel table. These two datasets were joined by the new ID field to populate the polygons with tax district name, county name, and certified gross tax rate per $100 assessed value attributes. Data generated and published 4/4/23. There may a degree of inaccuracy in this data due to the multiple data sources and many multipart features or those with gaps in their interior due to the dataset was generated from parcels maintained by a variety of local data stewards in Indiana. |
