A low head dam is a type of manmade obstruction typically built within a river or stream channel and spanning bank to bank. After visits from Conservation Officers and a review by DNR Water, Fish and Wildlife, and Outdoor Recreation divisions, the inventory was modified to update locations of existing dams, remove listings that were not found, and remove listings that did not qualify as a low head dam.

Last updated 1/19/2019.
