This data set was compiled to create a GIS layer showing locations of museums in Indiana. Museums, 2007 - Shows the locations of 118 museums in Indiana. Attributes include web addresses, street addresses and type of facility (i.e., Art, Children, General, Historical Society, History, House Museum, Military, Music, Science, Sport, and Transportation). Locations were plotted by personnel of the Indiana Geological Survey using the 'Geocoding' tool in ESRI ArcMap 9.2 and street information licensed from Tele Atlas, Dynamap 2000 v. 17.0. Addresses were obtained from various directories retrieved through Google searches. |
